1. Think outside the box. Get creative with your marketing and publicity; fashion shows, contests, or trunk shows are a great place to start.  Events like anniversary of your boutique store is another form of marketing (I prefer to call it as bonding session) to celebrate your success with your clients and also, showing your appreciation to their supports.

2. Get social. Social media is free advertising. You can’t afford not to be a part of ‘the conversation’.   Understand, embrace, and execute.

3. Dot your com. A website is an absolute must…and an absolute minimum. No ifs, ands, or buts. It’s 2011. Get with it.
