Q&A: Packing Tips

by everlin on December 30, 2013

I believe by now that most of you are on your way (as well as already) to where you’re headed, physically and possibly proverbially.  I received many queries on packing tips for travels (sorry that I should have shared earlier!).

Regardless of the destination, any given suitcase of mine will be packed with at least a few pairs of J. Brand jeans, is my go-to because they can be dressed up or down and work well with both boots and heels.

Few pieces of Equipment tops, and striped essentials from Minnie Mortimer. These are the best combinations for any city—comfortable, easy to pack, and always chic.

The perfect little white dress is a must-have for any tropical destination. A textured fabric like this lace is a great option because it doesn’t wrinkle as easily as cotton or silk.

Always wear multiple layers while traveling. Sometimes it can be really hot or sometimes very cold. You need to be prepared for everything.

I always roll my clothes instead of folding them because it decreases the amount of possible wrinkles as well as saves space in my suitcase.

Ballet flats are my lifesaver for overseas flights. I wear a pair that are slightly loose—think half a size bigger—so going through security is a breeze and when your feet swell on the plane—because let’s be honest, they do—you can still walk off comfortable and chic.  Here’s my favorite purchased on Amazon, costs from $19.99 – super comfortable, available in many colors.  (Tell you a secret:  I never wanted to wear my Tory Burch pairs in China simply others might be thinking I am wearing an A-class fake TB shoes as there are too many imitation here).
